The Greek physician Dioscorides was the first to cite White Willow as a fever and pain treatment in the first century A.D.
The list of its applications grew over time. Salicin and its derivative salicylic acid were discovered from the White Willow in 1830, and this was the precursor for aspirin. White Willow, on the other hand, is gentler on the stomach and a natural cure.
It is a popular nerve sedative and is used to treat fever, chills, headaches, and rheumatism. Its potent antibacterial properties aid in the treatment of infections in wounds, ulcerations, and eczema. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, I take it anytime there are injuries.
