Green Cheeks are little conures, weighing between 60 and 70 grams. They are, nevertheless, stunning in brilliant colors of green, brown, and burgundy. It’s difficult to capture a nice photo of Reggie that clearly displays all of his colors; the 1-2 seconds it takes for the shutter to open and close is just too long for him to remain still.
Green Cheeks, like other Pyrrhura family members, are smaller and typically quieter than their bigger Aritinga relatives.
They may live for up to 25 years.
Quick Facts:

Introducing my Green Cheek conure: Reggie is a Green Cheek conure. Because Green Cheeks aren’t sexually dimorphic, we chose a moniker that fits in both cases, particularly after the Connie incident. This tiny kid has a lot of energy! He’s continually bouncing about, leaping up and down, or swinging back and forth. The other men are staring at him as if he were a live comedy act.
