They are available in three different sizes: small, medium, and giant. The majority of them are vocal, and the sound might be off-putting to some. They live in groups and have the ability to form feral flocks in locations where they are not native.

Nanday Conure is the species that are most frequently encountered. The Sun Conure is the most popular species in the Aratinga group, and the Green-cheeked Conure is the most popular species in the Pyrrhura group.

Everyone has a Conure that they consider to be their very favorite. They will either win your love or earn your hatred. The majority of them are very sociable, and many of them will talk to you. Some of them are highly colorful, while others are more subdued. Although their language is not as wide as that of other species, they are nonetheless able to communicate rather well.

They are originally from Brazil. Boca Del Rio, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and northern Nicaragua. Costa Rica, as well as the western part of Panama, Venezuela, Peru, eastern Bolivia, and northwest Argentina. Compliments of Hideaway Farms Aviary. The examples are endless. If you travel south of the equator, you might spot a conure.

They are tough birds that can survive anywhere between 20 and 40 years. They are wonderful companions for both young children and older people. They enjoy playing with toys, and if they are going to be kept as lonely house birds, they need to have something to keep their attention.

It is my recommendation that you acquire your Conure from a breeder who is familiar with the species and who is able to provide you with guidance regarding what would work best for your household. It is not accurate to compare conures to other popular species of birds that are kept as pets. It takes a very unique individual to take care of a conure successfully. Please keep in mind that their need for attention ranges from moderate to high. Gregarious, extroverted, and lively, they require a big number of toys and a cage that is only slightly smaller than average in size.
